Buderim 9 Challenge 2016 highest fundraiser cashed in his winning prize today and took to the skies in a Becker Helicopter.
Buderim 9 Challenge multi-award recipient, Josh Paix of Nambour, who lives with cerebral palsy, is passionate about making a positive difference to people and families of the Sunshine Coast living with cerebral palsy.
Josh has been a keen supporter of the Buderim 9 Challenge since its inception 6 years ago and is a regular participant in the hilly challenge, whilst actively raising funds to support this valuable cause. Last year he raised more than $3,000 to take out the Argon Law Perpetual trophy for the Highest Fundraiser. Almost $20,000 was raised in direct funds for charity organisaiton, CPL, in support of families on the Sunshine Coast.
Josh was joined by event organiser Dave Wighton, Principal Sponsor Argon Law’s John Gallagher and Josh’s long-time mate, Max Quaglio (also living with cerebral palsy) at Becker Helicopter Pilot Academy for a 30 min scenic flight, all thanks to the generosity of Becker Helicopter Pilot Academy.
Presented by the Sunshine Coast Cycling Club and Argon Law, the Buderim 9 Challenge is an annual charity event held in December each year, raising funds for people and families on the Sunshine Coast living with cerebral palsy. This year’s Challenge will be held on Sunday 17 December. Registrations open in October. Visit www.buderim9.com.au for details.
