Sunshine Coast business leaders have collectively raised more than $240,000 through the 2026 Vinnies CEO Sleepout, helping fund vital services for people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity across the region.

Argon Law was proud to be part of this year’s effort, with Director John Gallagher and Marketing & Business Development Manager Rachel Crook taking part as members of the Sunshine Coast Business Council (SCBC) team.
The SCBC team, alongside SCBC member Sunshine Coast Airport, delivered one of the strongest fundraising results – raising more than $55,000 and exceeding its target by $5,000.
The team brought together representatives from organisations including Sunshine Coast Airport, Walker Corporation, Stockland, GHD, Regional Development Australia, Argon Law and Fresh PR & Marketing, demonstrating the power of collaboration across the region’s business community.
SCBC Chair Sandy Zubrinich said the result reflected the Sunshine Coast business community’s commitment to supporting vulnerable people and addressing one of the region’s most pressing challenges.
“We are incredibly proud of everyone who participated, donated and supported this year’s CEO Sleepout,” Ms Zubrinich said.
“That level of support reflects a business community that genuinely cares about the challenges facing our region and is willing to step up and make a difference.”
Held on Maroochydore Beach, the annual Vinnies CEO Sleepout saw 47 local leaders spend the night outdoors, as part of a nationwide initiative across 13 locations aimed at raising awareness and funds to combat homelessness.
For participants, including the Argon Law team, the experience was a powerful reminder of the realities faced by many in the community.
While one night outdoors is only a small glimpse into the challenges faced by people without secure housing, it reinforces the importance of ongoing action and support.

Housing stress and homelessness continue to impact a growing number of Sunshine Coast residents, including working families, older Australians, young people and women escaping domestic violence.
Funds raised through the CEO Sleepout directly support Vinnies’ frontline services, including emergency accommodation, food assistance, housing support and programs that help people rebuild their lives.
In the past financial year alone, Vinnies Queensland supported more than 238,000 vulnerable Queenslanders, including more than 18,000 people across the Sunshine Coast region.
Argon Law is proud to stand alongside the Sunshine Coast Business Council and fellow business leaders in supporting initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the community.
