Argon Law was proud to continue its longstanding support of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the local business community as sponsor of the recent Sunshine Coast Directors’ Briefing, AI and the New Risk Landscape: Survival, Trust and Control.
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded in business operations, the role of the Director has had to change to ensure those making key business decisions are aware of the potential challenges, implications and opportunities it presents.
The briefing featured insights from an experienced panel, including guests of Argon Law: Chris Boden, Digital Hub Director at Noosa Shire Council and Steve Telburn GAICD, Managing Director of Secret Sauce, along with the discussion moderated by Dr Monica Trujillo GAICD, Chief Health & Risk Officer at Telstra Health.
The event was extremely well received, with strong engagement from directors and business leaders throughout the Sunshine Coast region. The quality of discussion reflected the growing importance of AI-related governance issues and the need for practical conversations around risk, oversight and responsible adoption for individual industries.
