We are incredibly proud to once again be the Major Prize Partner of the Sunshine Coast Art Prize 2021, together with the Sunshine Coast Council.
The acquisitive Sunshine Coast Art Prize is one of the most dynamic and prestigious visual arts awards in Australia. The diverse range of 40 works by established and emerging artists from across the country are showcased in an exhibition at Caloundra Regional Gallery until the 6 December 2020. The exhibition is a reflection of outstanding contemporary 2D arts practice in Australia.
Last November it was announced that Natalya Hughes artwork, 'Gestural Body Painting' won the Sunshine Coast Art Prize 2020. John Gallagher presented Natalya with this prestigious award and her artwork will be acquired into the Sunshine Coast Art Collection.
The 2021 call for entries is now open.
John Gallagher, principal of Argon Law is passionate about giving back to the community through the arts and its multi-dimensional offerings. There is also an appreciation of how the Caloundra Regional Art Gallery through its free exhibition and public programs explores the unique culture and character of the Sunshine Coast.
